August 21, 22, 28 & 29 | 8pm

August 23 & 30 | 3pm

Tickets are $20.00 general admission, $18.00 for Seniors, Teachers or Students.

There's no better showcase to be found anywhere for a strong triple-threat actress than ONE NIGHT WITH FANNY BRICE.

The score mixes fierce torch songs (like "My Man," "After You've Gone," "Baby Won't You Please Come Home") with irresistible comedy numbers ("Second-Hand Rose," "Oh, How I Hate that Fellow Nathan"), ragtime ("That Mysterious Rag") and vintage pop ("Lovie Joe," "Rose of Washington Square"). The actress gets to sing, to dance; to go from laughs to pathos, triumphs to heartbreaks and back again.

Everyone loves a good rags-to-riches story.

ASCAP award-winner Chip Deffaa's dynamic one-woman show, ONE NIGHT WITH FANNY BRICE has received rave reviews everywhere. Brice's story had previously inspired the musical "Funny Girl."

The production features MARY CANTONI JOHNSON as Fanny Brice is directed by Sharon A. Wilcox with musical direction by TJ Thompson.  John Dressel will accompany Ms. Johnson August 28-30, 2015.

September 11 & 12 | 8pm

Tickets are $10.00

A mixture of improvisational comedy, sketch and music presented by ABRIDGED, the resident comedy troupe at Phoenix Stage Company.

Come meet THE BALKNOBBERS in the premiere of our first episode of this hilarious hillbilly soap serial. You’ll meet Uncle Daddy, Grandma, Perty, Fern and more cooky residents of Gofers Gulch.

Musical Guest Lucia Dressel will be performing with accompanist John Dressel playing along.

Celebrity Match Game is back! We’ll see a few return guests as well as couple of new celebrities (rumor has it that Phyllis Diller and Wonder Woman are making an appearance). This is your chance to play along and win prizes!

Given the nature of improvisational comedy, Comedy Weekend may not be appropriate for young audiences.

Tickets are just $10.00 and available by clicking on the Brown Paper Tickets logo above or by calling (860) 417-2505.
